3 Reasons Why You Should Be Drinking Red Raspberry Tea Every Day!

Red raspberry
is one of the most powerful herbs that I know. It is a herb especially for women (but also for men). It’s one of the best herbs that you can take to support your reproductive system physically and spiritually. Red raspberry is grown in cooler climates in Asia and Europe, however, has been cultivated of course for its fruit in many different temperate regions. The leaves. and the fruit are harvested and used as medicine and as food. For me, red raspberry has been special a gift, so let me tell you why I love it so much.

Let's look at 3 reasons why you should be taking red raspberry leaf every single day.

ONE:  To Slow the Flow

The chemicals in red raspberry tighten you up. Red raspberry is extremely high in pectin, vitamins A, B1, C, flavonoids polypeptides and especially tannins. Tannins give the red raspberry it astringent properties, which are the most powerful properties of this herb.

It’s a common mistake to say that astringent herbs such as red raspberry directly stop bleeding by acting on blood itself; if this was the case, we would classify these herbs as clotting agents. They actually stop bleeding indirectly by tightening the blood vessels or muscle tissue. This is a ‘good’ tightening - it tones the uterus in particular by strengthening connective tissue that surrounds the muscle. If taken regularly, and long term, this tightening of blood vessels helps to regulate menstruation, too - stopping heavy menstrual flow.
Because of its astringent properties, it helps to decrease the flow of fluid. Energetically, emotions and fluidity are intertwined, and can easily be thrown off with improper diet, negative and poor thoughts, stress, and low vibrational energy. Therefore, red raspberry can help to counter the and redirect the flow by restraining and controlling emotions as well as water energy within the body.

TWO:  To Care for Down There

Red raspberry can be used to strengthen the uterus, help to prevent miscarriage, morning sickness, reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and pain and cramping during PMS. If a woman has an ovarian cyst or vaginal discharge this herb can have a normalizing effect on the hormones that are causing these problems.

Furthermore, it is also beneficial to men!  As herbalist James Green says in his book The Male Herbal, it has the same ability to provide nutrient, astringent and detoxifying qualities to the male reproductive system.

For older women who may be dealing with weak bones, joint pain, or memory loss, red raspberry can play a crucial role in providing necessary nutrients. Red Raspberry is very high in calcium and magnesium. These minerals are necessary for proper bone formation as well as optimal muscle and brain function.

THREE: To Be Safe!

The reproductive system is such a precious part of your entire body, it is where new life can begin. This area of the body should be cared for and protected with gentle love. The red color of raspberries comes from anthocyanidins (also found in the leaf - flavanoids). These chemicals are powerful antioxidants that sequester free radicals from the system that can cause damage to DNA. And yes, specific damage that could potentially lead to ovarian cysts or other growths in the reproductive organs. Red raspberry is one of the very few herbs that is safe for women to take while carrying a child, and after birth during breastfeeding. Midwives suggest raspberry during pregnancy because it strengthens contractions and thereby decreases time in labor, decreases hemorrhaging, and reduces the risk of miscarriage. Tannins can be slightly dangerous to the kidneys if taken in too high concentrations; however, raspberry is considered a mild astringent. Therefore, it can safely be taken every day!

I love Rasberry tea. Can you recommend a few reputable (preferably organic) companies that sell it in the loose form?
